FEROCITY’S son Sticksy continues to win.
Sticksy (Ferocity-Beesem-Strategic) was successful in the Hallco Engineering QTIS 600 Two-year-Old Handicap 1100 metres at Caloundra’s Sunshine Coast on January 6.
Sticksy is trained by Cooroy trainer Murray Thompson.
Thompson and Sticksy’s owners are obviously delighted with the gelding.
“It was another really tough win and we are now planning on starting him in the “$150,000 QTIS 600 Plate for two-year-olds over 1200 metres at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday January 17.
“Sticksy pulled up really well after his win and there is still further improvement in him.” Thompson concluded.
Sticky’s three race starts have resulted in two Sunshine Coast wins and a Doomben second placing and more than $53,000 in prizemoney and bonuses.
FEROCITY’S daughter out of Pentamerous (lot 463) is scheduled to be auctioned at the Gold Coast Magic Millions on January 8.
She is a half-sister to Shoot Out - G2 QTC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner and pre-race favourite for $1m Magic Millions Trophy.
This yearling is also a half-sister to G3 WA Oaklands winner Cassandara Shadow (Johannesburg).
Ferocity is also extremely well related with his sisters Leone Chiara and Chinchilla Rose winning at stakes level while his sire Lion Hunter (Danehill-Pure Of Heart-Godswalk) has left such sprinting stars as Gold Edition and Lovely Jubly and the solid middle distance campaigner Rampant Lion.
