FEROCITY'S SON STILL ON TARGET FOR $2M MAGIC MILLIONS CLASSIC START

A win at Eagle Farm in Brisbane on December 28 could have some far reaching implications for the Murray Thompson stable.
Thompson has Sticksy (Ferocity-Beesem-Strategic) aimed at the $2m BMW Magic Millions Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 9. The 16 starting places for runners contesting the Millions are based on prizemoney won and Sticksy, with $16,500, is lying in 20th spot.
But a win on December 28 could be worth enough to force his way into the top 16.
Sticksy scored his maiden win at Sunshine Coast on December 6 and on December 19 he finished second in Thebigscreencompany.com.au 2YO Handicap at Doomben, collecting a $10,000 prizemoney cheque.
Thompson is delighted with Stickys courageous Doomben second.
”He pulled up well and he ate up well after Saturday - just like he did after his other start.
”He again showed his great fighting attitude and we are now pressing on to Brisbane for another QTIS 600 2YO race next Monday,” Thompson said.
