OAKLANDS STUD HAS A DRAFT OF 69 WEANLINGS, 19 YEARLINGS AND 52 BROODMARES AT JUNE MM SALE

WEANLING fillies outnumber the colts in the draft Oaklands Stud will take to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions National Sale next month.
Oaklands Stud is preparing 69 weanlings for the sale. It will also offers broodmares and yearlings at the auction.
The weanlings have been sired by Chateau Istana (11 colts and 15 fillies), Ferocity (11 colts and four fillies), Pure Theatre (six colts and four fillies), Break The Vault (three colts and two fillies), All Bar One (one colt and eight fillies), Tsuimai (one colt and two fillies) and Foreplay (one filly).
Chateau Istana (Grand Lodge USA-Miss Queen-Miswaki USA) is a promising type. He won three times in England, including the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster and then managed two further wins in Hong Kong before landing in Australia.
He is by the same sire as multiple winners Shogun Lodge, Freemason, Grand Zulu and Hotel Grand.
These weanlings are from his first crop.
Weanlings are also the oldest progeny All Bar One (Hennessey-Max’s Sister-Phone Trick USA), a speedster good enough to win nine times including the Group 2 Sir Byrne hart Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm and the listed Adams Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley.
